AT SECURE SHIKSHA, WE VALUE OUR LEARNERS AND AIM TO PROVIDE A FAIR AND TRANSPARENT REFUND PROCESS. PLEASE READ THIS REFUND POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE MAKING ANY PURCHASES ON OUR PLATFORM.
1. NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENTS
All payments made by Users for access to or use of SecureShiksha ’s paid services, courses, subscriptions, or any other offerings made available through the Platform (“Paid Services”) are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. By purchasing any Paid Service, the User expressly acknowledges and agrees that all fees paid are final and shall not be refunded, in whole or in part, under any circumstances and the User has read, understood, and agreed to this non-refundable payment policy prior to making any payment.
2. CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE REFUND WILL NOT BE GRANTED
Refunds will under no circumstances be granted for, including but not limited to:
(a) Cancellation of a Subscription or Paid Service by the User prior to the expiry of the Subscription Period;
(b) Dissatisfaction with the quality, features, or suitability of any Paid Service;
(c) Failures or limitations of the User’s device, software, internet connectivity, or technical environment;
(d) Suspension, restriction, or termination of the User’s account arising from breach of Terms of Service, fraudulent activity, or misuse; and;
(e) Abuse of the refund process, including repeated, unreasonable, or frivolous refund requests.
(f) Removal, disabling, or deletion of any course, section, or content by the Company due to copyright issues, regulatory requirements, or operational reasons. In such cases, the User acknowledges and agrees that the Company shall not be liable to provide any refund, credit, or compensation.
3. REFUNDS AT COMPANY’S DISCRETION
Notwithstanding Clauses 1 and 2, SecureShiksha may, at its sole discretion, review refund requests in rare and exceptional circumstances. Any refund granted under this provision shall be strictly limited to the extent required by applicable law, regulatory mandate, or technical impracticability, and shall be issued solely to the original payment method used by the User. Any amount refunded in such exceptional cases will be subject to deduction of applicable online streaming fees, GST, or any other fees charged by the Platform, and only the remaining amount will be paid to the User. Such discretionary refunds do not create any precedent or ongoing obligation for future refunds. The User acknowledges and agrees that any refund provided under this clause is an exception rather than a right, and shall not give rise to any claims or disputes, except where expressly required by law.
4. SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLATION BY USER
Users may cancel their Subscription at any time through their account on the Platform. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the then-current billing period, after which the Subscription will not be renewed. Until the end of the paid period, Users will retain access to the subscribed content and features, unless any specific feature or service is discontinued, disabled, or otherwise rendered unavailable due to legal, regulatory, or operational reasons beyond the Company’s control. No refund shall be provided for fees already paid, except as otherwise specified in this Policy or as required by applicable law. Users acknowledge that recurring or automated payments (auto-debit) may continue due to delays or errors with banks, payment gateways, or other processors, and SecureShiksha shall not be liable for any such charges. Users are responsible for ensuring that such payments are stopped through their bank or payment provider.
Upon cancellation, the User account may continue to exist on the Platform in a limited form, but all access to paid features will automatically cease at the end of the paid billing period. Any content or course material already accessed shall remain subject to the non-transferable and non-commercial use restrictions outlined in the Terms and Conditions. All determinations regarding cancellation and access are final and binding.
5. FORCE MAJEURE
SecureShiksha shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, or unavailability of courses, classes, or educational content due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, epidemics, or government actions. No refund or compensation shall be provided in such events.
6. COMPLIANCE WITH LAW
Nothing in this Policy restricts or limits the User’s statutory rights under applicable consumer protection or other laws that may expressly require refunds. Refunds, if any, shall be issued strictly in accordance with applicable statutory provisions and only to the extent required by law.
7. FINALITY OF DECISIONS
All determinations made by SecureShiksha regarding refunds, credits, Subscription cancellation, or denial of refund requests shall be final, conclusive, and binding on the User.
8. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall first be attempted to be resolved through negotiation within 30 days of written notice. If unresolved, it shall be referred to arbitration only in Mumbai, Maharashtra, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in English before a sole arbitrator, mutually appointed or, if the parties cannot agree within 15 days, appointed under Section 11 of the Act. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding. The courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction to enforce the arbitration award or grant interim relief.
9. AMENDMENTS
The Company reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this Policy at any time. Such amendments shall be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after any such posting constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
